TripSoko's Terms of Service Agreement
Welcome to TripSoko, a trip packages and experiences marketplace that aggregates and lists fixed-date trips organized by independent tour organizers (referred to as “Trip Hosts”). By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Overview of the Platform
TripSoko provides a digital platform that:

Aggregates and displays trip packages offered by independent Trip Hosts.

Allows users (“Travellers”) to browse, book, and pay for listed trips.

Facilitates secure payments between Travellers and Trip Hosts.

Charges a 7% commission on each confirmed booking.
TripSoko does not operate trips, provide transport or accommodation, or act as a travel agency.
2. Role of Trip Hosts
Trip Hosts are responsible for:

Providing accurate, complete, and updated information about each trip.

Ensuring all required licenses, permits, and safety protocols are in place.

Honoring bookings made via TripSoko and delivering the described experience.
TripSoko creates listings based on content submitted by Trip Hosts and is not responsible for errors or omissions in trip descriptions.
3. Booking and Payment

Travellers may book trips directly through TripSoko.

All bookings close 2 days before the scheduled trip date.

TripSoko deducts its 7% commission and pays the remaining balance to the Trip Host’s designated M-Pesa Paybill or Till Number on the same day bookings close.

Payments are processed and settled only for confirmed bookings.
4. Cancellations and Refunds:
Traveller Cancellations

If a Traveller cancels more than 3 days before the trip date, they are eligible for a full refund.

If a Traveller cancels within 3 days of the trip:

The Trip Host’s cancellation policy will apply, OR
-
The amount paid may be credited toward a future trip of the Traveller’s choosing.

Trip Host Cancellations

If a Trip Host cancels a trip for any reason, Travellers will receive a full refund.

Trip Hosts who frequently cancel trips without valid cause may be removed from the platform.
5. Traveller Responsibilities
By using TripSoko, you agree to:

Provide accurate personal and payment information.

Review all trip details, including itineraries, pricing, inclusions, and exclusions, before booking.

Comply with any instructions, guidelines, or rules provided by the Trip Host during the trip.

Ensure you are fit and eligible to participate in the trip activities.
6. Trip Host Responsibilities
Trip Hosts agree to:

Only list legitimate and deliverable trips.
-
Respond promptly to traveller inquiries or issues.
-
Handle on-ground trip operations in a safe, professional manner.
-
Respect the agreed payment settlement and refund structure outlined in these terms.
7. Liability Disclaimer
TripSoko is not liable for:

Cancellations, delays, or changes to trips made by Trip Hosts.

Injuries, losses, or damages that occur during the trip.
-
Misrepresentations or errors in trip listings.
-
Failure by the Trip Host to deliver on advertised trip features.
All disputes between Trip Hosts and Travellers must be resolved between the parties. TripSoko may, at its discretion, mediate disputes in good faith but is not legally obligated to do so.
8. Platform Usage
Users agree not to:

Use the platform for fraudulent or misleading activities.

Post false reviews or feedback.

Copy, scrape, or misuse content from the platform.

Interfere with the platform's security or technical infrastructure.
9. Modification of Terms
TripSoko reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
